Large white pig, also known as British large white pig and Yorkshire pig, is native to Yorkshire, England. It was domesticated and bred by the Soviet Union. Later, after crossbreeding with China pig breeds, the whole body was white, and the ears stood up forward, forming large, medium and small species, the largest of which was the large white pig, which was widely distributed in the world at present.
Landrace pig originated in Denmark, formerly known as Landrace pig. After it was introduced to China, it was named Landrace Pig because of its poor body shape and white fur. At present, it is mainly distributed in Zhejiang, Hunan, Hubei, Guangdong, Hebei and other regions.
2. Appearance difference:
The whole body hair of large white pig is also white, with some black spots in the middle, which is why many people often can't distinguish its nutrition. Its head is moderate in size, its nose is slightly concave, its ears are erect, its limbs are strong, its back is wide and straight, its hindquarters are plump, and its whole body is rectangular.

3. Differences in production performance:
The estrus time of large white pigs and sows is 165- 195 days, and the suitable breeding time is 220-240 days. In terms of litter, their performance is basically the same, and the initial litter is generally around 9. In terms of slaughter, the slaughter rate of Landrace pigs is above 72%, and that of Large White pigs is above 70%, with little difference.
They are slightly different in production performance. Landrace sows generally start estrus at the age of 170-200 days, and the suitable mating age is 230-250 days.
