The Gathering Horn is a fictional movie, based on the novel Lawsuit.

The plot of "The Gathering Signal": In 1948, during the War of Liberation, Company Commander Gu Zidi (played by Zhang Hanyu) led 47 soldiers of the Ninth Company on a mission to cover the retreat of a large troop on the banks of the Wen River, where the regimental commander Liu Zeshui (played by Hu Jun) ordered the company to use the gathering signal as an order to retreat when they heard it sound.
