Xiamen is located in East China, on the southeastern coast of Fujian Province.
Xiamen City, referred to as "Xia" or "Lu", also known as Ludao, is a prefecture-level city, sub-provincial city, separately planned city, type I large city, and second-tier city under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province.
