How to raise black shell shrimp
Life habit of black shell shrimp: it lives in the waters with dense aquatic plants and feeds on algae and dead animals and plants. Black shell shrimp is a very mild shrimp, which does not attack any fish in the fish tank, does not need special feeding or high temperature (but tries to avoid high temperature), and plays a very important role in inhibiting algae flooding in the fish tank, so black shell shrimp can be said to be an excellent fish tank cleaner.

However, because the shell shrimp is too gentle, they also lack the ability of self-defense. Shrimp and young shrimp in molting stage are very easy to be hurt or eaten by fish. Therefore, when raising fish in the tank, as many aquatic plants as possible or facilities such as shrimp houses should be placed for the black shell shrimp to escape. And be careful not to mix black shell shrimp with too fierce fish such as betta, stickleback and goby. In this case, even if you avoid more black shell shrimp, you will be completely eaten. Large shrimp ponds should be built in areas with flat terrain, less silt, sufficient water, good water quality, no pollution and convenient water intake and drainage. It is suggested to use sediment with an area of 5~8 mu and a water depth of 2m, and each pond should be equipped with 2~3 2.2kW aerators. Mud and weeds in the old pond should be removed or ploughed and exposed at the bottom of the pond.
