Although all bamboo shoots are produced, not all bamboo shoots can be called cooking products. As a vegetable bamboo shoot, it must have tender tissue, no bitter taste or other bad taste, or a little bitter taste, and can only be eaten after processing to remove the bitter taste.
I like warm and humid climate, and can grow on streams and beaches with deep soil layers and slightly acidic or neutral soil, and at the foot of hills below 500 meters above sea level. Generally, it is required that the annual average temperature is ≥ 17.5℃ and the temperature is extremely low >: -6℃, and the annual precipitation is above1400 mm. Only under the conditions of less frost and short low temperature in winter can winter. Vegetable bamboo shoots mainly include individual varieties such as Phyllostachys pubescens, Bambusa bambusa, Phyllostachys pubescens and Bitter Bamboo.
Bamboo shoot growth
The planting time should be around beginning of spring. At this time, the temperature is suitable, and the mother bamboo is in a state from dormancy to activity. After planting, bamboo shoots begin to germinate, shoot and spread leaves, which is easy to survive. You can also choose to transplant young bamboo from June to August after lignification, but the disadvantage is that the survival rate is slightly poor. Select excellent varieties and standardize planting.
In the selection of varieties, it is advisable to choose Phyllostachys panlong suitable for local soil and climate. After selecting the forest land, cut grass and refine mountains, and remove stones, stumps and firewood roots. According to the row spacing of 3m and the plant spacing of 2m, dig planting holes 100~ 120 per mu, with a length of 0.60m, a width of 0.5m and a depth of 0.4m. Before planting, apply decomposed organic fertilizer at the bottom of the holes, fill them with soil 10cm, and then put the mother bamboo into the holes. When the mother bamboo is put into the hole, make the bamboo whip straight and stretch, and pay attention to proper shallow planting.
