Dynasty's formal appeal

Four days after receiving the verdict of the Baoding North Municipal Court, which upheld the original verdict in a retrial, on the morning of Sept. 19, 2011, Dynasty formally commissioned his agent, lawyer Sun Ying, and Hong Daode, a professor at the China University of Political Science and Law, to file an appeal with the Baoding Municipal Intermediate Court.

"I want it to be that you guys don't care about me, so I'll appeal on my own." Dynasty told his agent. It was the first time Dynasty had seen his lawyer since the Sept. 8, 2011, retrial. After signing and fingerprinting the appeal, he wrote on an A4 sheet of paper, "I am not guilty! I appeal!" 6 big words, let the lawyer will be this material with the appeal to the Baoding North Municipal Court. The appeal requests "to revoke the [2011] North Criminal Re-word No. 2 criminal verdict, according to law to change the appellant is not guilty".

Dynasty also told his lawyer that he was told that if he pleaded guilty and then appealed, the court would consider a lighter sentence, and he would be sent to a prison with better conditions, but he strongly disagreed. The appeal has been received by the Baoding North District Court.

Dynasty's mother, Yang Huixian, also went to Baoding with her lawyer that day, and she said that in Dynasty's retrial verdict, the panel of the North District Court only denied the defense points of view, and did not refer to the defense evidence, and did not express an attitude toward this evidence.

In addition, Yang Huixian also noted that the collegial court's trial verdict is not the same as the verdict, "many defense points are in the verdict, but not in the verdict, which means that the collegial court hastily pronounced the verdict before it had fully considered the defense points."

Yang Hui Xian said she firmly believes that Dynasty is innocent and said, "As long as the court doesn't find him not guilty, I will keep appealing on his behalf."
