Planting time and method of bitter gourd
1. The planting time of bitter gourd in different regions is different. Generally, it is planted in the south1-March, and in the north from March to April. Because of the warmer climate in the south, it is mostly planted in the open air, and the cold climate in the north is mostly planted in greenhouses or greenhouses. Technical points: select seeds with good quality, high yield and strong disease resistance, select fertile and loose soil, sow in time, keep the soil moist, prevent waterlogging in rain period, and apply fertilizer properly in flowering and fruiting period. 2. Bitter gourd likes high temperature environment, and the planting time varies according to different planting areas. The temperature in northern and southern China is quite different. 1- The south is suitable for open-air planting in March, and the north is suitable for greenhouse or greenhouse planting in March-April. 3. Seed treatment (1) Seed treatment mainly includes seed selection and accelerating germination. (2) When selecting seeds, select seeds with good quality, high yield and strong disease resistance. After selecting the seeds, blanch them with 50-60 degrees hot water. When scalding seeds, gently stir the seeds to make them evenly heated. At the same time, it is necessary to soften the sticky substances and hard skin on the surface of bitter gourd seeds, and it can also play a role in sterilization. The ironing time is about 20 minutes, and then I want it. (3) Take out the soaked seeds, then remove the adhesion on the surface, clean them, wrap them with clean gauze, and put them in an incubator or other environment with a temperature of about 30 degrees to accelerate germination. It takes about 4-5 days to germinate. 4. Sowing and planting (1) Bitter gourd can be sown 2-3 days after germination, and it is usually directly sown in the open field. (2) The soil requirement is not high, but it will grow better in fertile and loose soil. (3) When broadcasting live in an open field, it is best to choose land where fruits and vegetables have not been planted. When preparing soil, it is necessary to water the soil. The next day, some new peat ash and nutrient soil mixed with organic fertilizer were scattered in the seed hole. For sowing, it is enough to put 1-2 seeds in each hole, and finally cover it with thin fine soil. (4) Sow at the end of March, and sow in early May. If it is a greenhouse seedling, before planting, in order to ensure that the seedlings can better adapt to the environment, the plastic film mulching in the greenhouse can be slow and gradual. 5. Daily management (1) Daily management mainly includes field management and fertilization. (2) Bitter gourd needs a lot of water. Remember to keep the soil moist at any time, especially in hot summer. It needs watering sooner or later. You shouldn't water too much at a time. (3) In rainy or rainstorm weather, special attention should be paid to drainage measures, because bitter gourd is particularly afraid of waterlogging. (4) Bitter gourd is a relatively fertilizer-tolerant crop. When applying base fertilizer, it must be sufficient, mainly organic fertilizer and diammonium phosphate. Bitter gourd needs more topdressing during flowering and fruiting, and the frequency can be kept once a week.
