Jiangxinzhou Folk Village has dozens of local dishes that have been passed down from generation to generation: roasted meat with dried cowpeas, roasted meat with amaranth, salted meat wrapped in lotus leaf, roasted tofu with hairy fish, stir-fried taro vine, and stir-fried shredded pumpkin with locally-produced river fish, river shrimp, poultry and vegetables.
There are ten famous farmhouse dishes: Lu Ershi's Tile Fish, Xu's Braised Pork , River Catfish Roasted Tofu, Rising Eggs with Chives and Seeds, Roasted Meat with Horse's Tooth and Amaranth, Yangtze River Small Fish Pot Stickers, Roasted Baby Chicken, Sister Zhou's Black Bean River Fish, Boiling River Fish, and Chrysanthemum Leaf Soup.
