There are really too many Chicken Soup for the Soul nowadays, especially on WeChat, which can be found everywhere.
Many people often drink this chicken soup bowl after bowl, moving themselves to tears, thinking that it is really nutritious, but in fact it is not!
These so-called chicken soups for the soul are just honey water at best. They are sweet. Drinking them will only promote gastrointestinal motility and detoxification. In fact, they have no real nutrition.
Why do you say that?
Because I used to drink chicken soup often, bowl after bowl. Every time I drank it, I felt like I was full of blood and resurrected. I felt full of energy and even had the urge to do something big.
So, I enthusiastically made various plans for myself, learning this, learning that, how long it would take to achieve what goals, and what kind of results would be achieved.
But as a result, I didn’t persist for a week. I had already forgotten all these things, and in the end I didn’t do anything well.
Then, after a while, I drink another bowl of chicken soup, give myself some more, make plans, give up again, drink again...and the cycle continues.
Until one day, I realized that nothing had changed about me from beginning to end, I was still the same mediocre me.
I believe that a person's change generally goes through two processes. The first step is a change in thinking, and the second step is a change in behavior.
Changing thoughts is much simpler than changing behavior. Generally, you can think through reading books and communicating with people who are better than yourself. Of course, drinking chicken soup for the soul is also effective. After all, it is quite inspiring.
But I think this may only be temporary and not thorough enough. What really counts as a complete change in thinking is to change one's own behavior.
Because only when a person's thoughts truly change, will his behavior naturally change accordingly.
But it takes a process to implement changes in thinking into behavior.
We all understand many principles, but how many people actually do it?
Take the topic of women's continuous self-improvement as an example. Most girls in their 20s know that they should take care of their skin care, manage their body, be financially independent, develop more hobbies, etc. to continuously improve themselves and make themselves better.
It’s even more beautiful, but are all the young women on the street really slim and pretty with pretty faces? No!
Taking good care of your skin feels troublesome; losing weight is just a slogan. When faced with delicious food, how can you bear to refuse it as a foodie? On weekends, the thought of going out feels troublesome. It is better to stay at home with unkempt hair, watch TV series and surf the Internet... Look, when it comes to and
Doing it is really two different things!
So, just drink a few bowls of chicken soup and get a taste of it. What is really needed is to take action and take the first step to change your behavior.
