Suileng County is located in the central part of Heilongjiang Province, in the northeastern part of Suihua City at the western foot of the southern end of Xiaoxing'an Mountains. It is a county under the jurisdiction of Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province. The local specialty Suiling black pottery is quite famous in the country and is known as "Chinese black pottery" "Hometown" reputation. Suileng County borders Yichun City to the east, Qing'an County to the southeast, Beilin District to the south and southwest, Bei'an City and Hailun City to the west and northwest, and Bei'an City and Xunke County to the northeast and north. The county has a total area of ??4,238 square kilometers, jurisdiction over 4 towns, 7 townships, and 76 administrative villages, with a population of 320,000 (2011). Suileng Town, where the county government is based, is the political, economic, and cultural center and transportation hub of the county. It is 195 kilometers away from the provincial capital Harbin. Binbei Railway and National Highway 102 pass through the west of the county. There are 12 ethnic groups in the territory, including Han, Korean, Manchu, Hui, Mongolian, Miao, Zhuang, Oroqen, Naxi, Daur, Xibe and Dong.
