Jinxi ancient town is an ancient water town in the south of the Yangtze River with a history of more than two thousand years. Jinxi ancient town, located on the bank of Dianshan Lake in the southern suburb of Kunshan, is an ancient water town in the south of the Yangtze River with a history of thousands of years. The ancient town is not big. China's scenic Gulian Bridge and the mysterious Chen Feishui Tomb attract tourists to visit. Various folk collections are also worth a visit, and there are various snack bars in Old Street.

Folk collections include ancient brick and tile museum, purple sand museum and pot museum, where visitors can recall the history of the Cultural Revolution. Snacks in the old street include sock bottom cake, chimelong moon cake and begonia cake. This is a specialty of Jinxi, and there are delicious Jiangnan characteristics such as Euryale ferox, tied meat and tied feet.

Go along the water lane to the end of the old street, and your vision will be broadened. In front of a pond full of paddle boats, there are Lianchi Temple and Wenchang Pavilion built in the Southern Song Dynasty. The incense in the temple is very strong. On the lake near the Zen Temple, in summer, green lotus flowers are in full bloom, reflecting the Gulian Bridge. Beautiful scenery, it is a good place for framing photography. The tomb of Chen Feishui, a filial son of the Southern Song Dynasty, is still located on the lake. It is said that no matter how the water level changes, the water mound is always exposed on the lake, which is a famous sight.

Although Jinxi has common water lanes, stone bridges and promenades in ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, it is not as famous as Zhouzhuang and Tongli nearby, but it is cleaner and the living atmosphere is richer and simpler. Walking in the water lane, you can often see local aunts and grandfathers sitting in the promenade drinking tea and chatting, which is a leisurely street style.
