Daping Village is one of the main crops for planting red-hearted sweet potatoes in Liancheng County. All the fields in the village are planted with red sweet potatoes every year, which are processed into dried red sweet potatoes after harvest. Liancheng Red Heart Dried Sweet Potato is a famous local product with unique local characteristics in western Fujian, ranking first among the "Eight Famous Drinks in Western Fujian". As a tribute of Qing dynasty, it is known as "golden potato chips". At present, 80% families in the village have processing workshops to process a series of green and pollution-free dried sweet potatoes. Products sell well all over the country and are exported to Southeast Asian countries, which are very popular. In 2005, the per capita net income of villagers was 3,545 yuan.
