She lost 34 kilograms of weight during half-marathon training and transformed from an aunt to a sports mom

Heather Sloan is a 41-year-old American civil servant. Five years ago, she weighed 93 kilograms and was like a heavyweight aunt. Because she could never make up her mind to lose weight, she was pushed by her friends to run a half marathon.

Unexpectedly, she is now a 62kg, athletic mom with a well-proportioned figure, and her goal for the next half marathon is to run under 2 hours!

She lost 34 kilograms in half-marathon training and transformed from an aunt to an athletic hot mom? HEATHER SLOAN Sloan claimed that she has been worried about her appearance and other people's perceptions her whole life. In 2010, when she gave birth to her second baby,

After starting a new position, she faced a lot of difficulties in life. She was unable to adjust between work and life. She even completely gave up on herself physically and mentally and fell into a vicious cycle of collapse. She always stayed on the sofa when she had nothing to do.

She could not move up, and the stress caused her to overeat, and her weight once exceeded 93 kilograms.

During this period of "giving up treatment", Sloan thought every day, "I will be better tomorrow!" As a result, this thought only made her too lazy to pursue a better life every day, until she met her friend Carla in 2014.

Kara knew that Sloane wanted to lose weight, so one day she asked, "How do you want to train for a half marathon?" Sloan didn't know how to refuse at that moment. After being pushed into the trap, she decided to make a change, and then she entered the pit and started to do it again.

I don’t want to climb out either.

Starting in March of that year, Kara took Sloane to the local high school playground to practice running. She ran as slowly as a turtle and panted like an ox.

But the situation was getting better day by day. That summer, Sloan was able to run 5 kilometers, with an average speed of about 37 minutes. And every time she found that she was losing weight, she once again wanted to break the PB (personal best record);

By autumn, she had begun training for her first half marathon.

While preparing for the half marathon, she also participated in a full-body training course that included aerobic and weight training, which brought miraculous results to her running performance and slimming down. She continued to rely on running and full-body training to gain muscle and lose fat.

Until I lose 34 kilograms.

In May 2015, Sloan and Carla participated in the Flying Pig Half Marathon together. Sloan ran into her first half marathon goal in 2 hours, 26 minutes and 40 seconds.

Since completing her first half marathon, Sloan has participated in multiple half marathons and 100-day running challenges every year, including half marathons on mountain roads held in the hot summer.

Her current PB is 2 hours, 06 minutes and 4 seconds, and her goal for the next half marathon is the same as that of many female runners: to break 2 hours.

During the training process, Sloan learned to eat less unhealthy food (the picture is a situational photo, not her own). In the few years since she started exercising, Sloan has also lost weight on her body through diet control.

She is a food lover, and junk food is her favorite. However, during her running training, she learned to eat less unhealthy food and used a food recording app every day for 3 years.

"I can confidently say that if I can do it, you can do it too!" Sloan said that regardless of age or the effort required to achieve the goal, you must first make up your mind to prepare for change and never look back from the beginning.

And this is not only a physical change, but also has a psychological impact. Running is the best way to relieve stress. Whenever you complete a race, no matter how far or near, you will get pure happiness and satisfaction.
