Nanjing Town is located in Puning City, Guangdong Province, with an east longitude of 116 17' and a north latitude of 23 21'. The total area is 52.86 square kilometers, including 242 hectares of cultivated land and 1333.3 hectares of mountainous area. Nanjing commune was established in 1958, Kirin commune was separated in 1966, Nanjing district was changed in 1983, and a town was established in 1986.
