Among many small ancient villages in Zhejiang, I am personally impressed by Heyang ancient village in Jinyun, Lishui. Why? First of all, it is an ancient village with a history of thousands of years, and the whole Heyang ancient village is listed as a historical relic of key cultural protection units in China. Secondly, there are many ancient buildings and monuments hidden in the ancient village. Even if you look carefully, you can see the stone lion that Zhu Yuanzhang once gave you, which makes the ancient village of Heyang look much thicker.
So as a small ancient village, how can we better discover the charm of Heyang Village? Visiting the ancient village is free to the public. If you want to visit the scenic spots inside, you need a ticket to 30 yuan.
1- Look for century-old buildings in ancient villages and appreciate the beauty of ancient villages in the south of the Yangtze River.
Like many ancient villages in the south of the Yangtze River, many houses and buildings with a century-old history can be found in Heyang Ancient Village. It is said that there are more than 500 ancient houses 1500, ancestral halls 15, 6 ancient temples and 6 ancient bridges 1 seat in Heyang ancient village. Most of these ancient buildings are in the middle and late Qing Dynasty, but a few of them are the remains of the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. It can be said that such a huge scale is also the reason why it can become a key cultural protection unit in China.
I like to walk in every ancestral temple and feel the local traditional customs. Although I can't see the ceremony of ancestor worship, I can still imagine the excitement of the ceremony through some old objects and photos.
I also like the carved beams and painted buildings in each ancestral hall, especially the typical sparrows and arches in Huizhou architecture. It can be seen that craftsmen at that time carved such exquisite opera characters, fish, insects, birds and animals through exquisite skills. If you are an architectural travel enthusiast, Heyang will definitely become your museum of traditional ancient buildings in the south of the Yangtze River.
I also like to see the Bashimenlou, the gate of the ancient village in Heyang, because there have been eight literati in the small ancient village in Heyang. In recognition of this rare thing, Zhu Yuanzhang specially gave a pair of stone lions named "Rare", which are still lying next to the gatehouse after more than 600 years.
2- Walk the streets and feel the fireworks in Heyang Ancient Village.
Compared with many commercial ancient villages and towns, there are still local people living in Heyang ancient village, and they still live a relatively primitive life. Walking in the old streets and alleys, you can see them riding bicycles to go out to work, or just coming back from a vegetable field with a bundle of vegetables, or sitting in small chairs in twos and threes, chatting, and a strong smell of fireworks comes to your face instantly.
With their consent, we might as well visit the courtyards of ancient houses. Although they are not as luxurious as the ancestral hall and the former residence of the Hall of Fame, those antique furnishings and old objects still make the old houses look heavy, and this heavy feeling may only be reflected through vicissitudes.
3- punch in local specialty snacks and experience the thick taste of Jinyun.
Jinyun, located in the mountainous area, has always been rich in products, so local people have also created many flavor snacks according to local conditions. If you are visiting for the first time, you can try some local sesame cakes, wonton, delicious noodles and jiaozi.
Crispy baked wheat cake has always been one of the most representative snacks in Jinyun, which can be tasted in many cities in Zhejiang Province, but the most authentic baked wheat cake must be tasted in Jinyun, and the characteristic baked wheat cake can also be tasted in Heyang Ancient Village. Flour, fresh pork and dried prunes are the best ingredients for sesame cakes. By baking in the oven, these three ingredients will be brought into full play, and the crisp taste and the smell of dried prunes always make you feel dissatisfied. At this time, you might as well match a mountain flour jiaozi, use local authentic sweet potato flour as raw material, and mix it with raw materials such as mushrooms, meat and onions, which tastes very Q-bomb.
After a full meal, my trip to the ancient village of Heyang will also end. Although its popularity is not as good as Wuzhen and Xitang in the province as a whole, it has also become one of my favorite ancient villages with its well-preserved historical sites and original ecological atmosphere. So have you been to Heyang Ancient Village in Jinyun? What is your impression of this place? (Author: Stop the horse, life lies in walking, the journey needs to be recorded! )
