Changchun woodcarving

Jilin Baishan Hua Mu
Also known as bark painting, it is mainly produced in Changchun and Jilin Province. Craft painting mainly made of birch bark, supplemented by forest by-products such as Yun Zhi, Yin Zhi and Zimang. White birch is abundant in Changbai Mountain area, and its skin is rich in color inside and outside, which can be peeled off layer by layer. The outer layer is white and reddish, and the inner layer is delicate, with milky white, meat powder, light yellow and ochre. The production of wood painting is divided into two techniques: flat sticking and relief. The woodblock paintings in Baishan are rich in themes and strong in appeal, such as misty rain in Jiangbo, mist in Yunshan, swift waterfalls, spring snow, terraced pavilions, figures, flowers and birds, etc. In the Qing Dynasty, Birch Village was established in Jilin to collect birch bark for tribute. So far, the cultural relics of the Palace Museum have collected royal articles such as bow sacs made of birch bark and horse mattresses. Baishan wood painting was founded in 1950s, and now it has become one of the main handicrafts in Jilin Province.
Dehui straw weaving
Dehui straw weaving has a history of nearly a hundred years. In addition to the common woven products of wheat straw and sorghum straw, corn husk products are mainly used for weaving baskets, suitcases, jewelry boxes, fruit bowls, bread bowls, cushions, tea mats, slippers, grass carpets and so on. It is characterized by softness, tenacity, portability, no heat transfer and no water absorption. Some have natural colors, and some can be dyed artificially, which is beautiful and practical. Straw raw materials can be roughly divided into four categories: grass, willow, reed and rattan. Dehui straws have been exported to more than ten countries and regions.
Yanbian Pingguo pear
Yanbian apple pear is mainly produced in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province. The fruit is oblate and has a little blush. Like apples, it is named Apple Pear. In Xiaoji Village, Taoyuan Township, Longjing City, 6 pears introduced from North Korea and scions of cold-resistant sorbus were grafted with192/kloc-0. At that time, only three trees survived After several generations' careful cultivation and continuous breeding, after the founding of the People's Republic of China, the state has given strong support to Yanbian apple and pear, which has made the planting of apple and pear develop rapidly. Apple and pear trees like cold and humid climate and are extremely cold-tolerant. It can safely overwinter within -32 degrees, and it is suitable for growing on hilly slopes with a large temperature difference between day and night at an altitude of about 300 meters. Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, located in Changbai Mountain range, provides a good ecological environment for the growth of apple pear trees. Apple and pear trees bloom in mid-May and mature in late September every year. Young trees can bear fruit in 4-5 years, and enter the full fruit stage in 8-9 years. Apple pear is characterized by large fruit, large pulp, small stone, no dead cells, milky white pulp, rich juice, moderate sweetness and sourness, and storage resistance. It contains 85.9% water, 0.33% total acid, 8.33% reducing sugar and 9.69% total sugar. It is rich in vitamins C, B 1, B2 and other ingredients such as calcium, phosphorus and iron. It has the effects of moistening lung, resolving phlegm, relieving cough, reducing fire, clearing away heart fire and promoting diuresis. You can also make jam, preserved fruit, fruit wine, canned food and so on. When cooking Korean spicy cabbage, mix some apples and pears to make the side dishes more refreshing. At present, apple-pear saplings have been introduced to 20 countries such as Yu Sheng, municipalities, autonomous regions, North Korea and Romania. During the period of 1985, the national inspection and appraisal meeting of apples and pears was held in agriculture, animal husbandry and fishery. Yanbian Apple Pear was rated as the first high-quality pear in China, exported to Hong Kong and other places, and was rated as "Jilin Fragrant Pear" in the Hong Kong market because of its juicy and crisp fruit.

Deer products
There are two kinds of deer in Changbai Mountain, Jilin Province. One is very small with white spots and looks like plum blossoms, so it is called sika deer.
