Ma Hongkui (1892-197065438+10/4), semi-cloudy, nicknamed sanyuan, was born in Hezhou, Gansu (now Linxia). One of the "Four Horses" of Northwest Warlords. After graduating from Lanzhou Army School, he first attached himself to Feng Yuxiang and then took refuge in Chiang Kai-shek. /kloc-0 officially became the chairman of Ningxia province in early 1933, and/kloc-0 was awarded the rank of army general in September 1936.

After the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, he served as Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the 8th Theater and Commander-in-Chief of the17th Army. Later, he served as the deputy chief of northwest military and political affairs and the former deputy director of northwest travel. Won the first-class Yunhui Medal and the Victory Medal. 1949 fled to Taiwan Province province at the end of September, and was "dismissed for investigation" soon after. Feeling that there was no place in Taiwan Province Province, he lied about going to the United States for medical treatment, and later lived in L.A. for a long time. 1970 65438+1October 14, died in Los Angeles.

The crop research institute of Ningxia Academy of Agricultural Sciences is located in the residence of Ma Hongkui's fourth wife Liu, which is called "four-wife residence" or "East residence"; Ningxia Agricultural College (merged into Ningxia University in 2003, private Yinchuan University was established in the former site of Ningxia Agricultural College, and now Yinchuan University was renamed Ningxia Energy College) is located in the residence of Ma Zaide and Ma Shucheng, the first mothers in Ma Hongkui, and is known as "Old Lady Mansion" or "West Mansion" in history.
