To be honest, there is nothing very interesting in Nanning.
If this is your first time in Nanning, you can go to Qingxiu Mountain to see, especially Qingshan Tower.
There is a cannon from the Republic of China in Fort Spike; the Guangxi Museum has many precious ancient cultural relics, which introduce the history of Guangxi, did you know?
The three starting points of the ancient Maritime Silk Road are Hepu, Guangxi; Yiling Cave, Lingshui River in Wuming, Nanning, which is warm in winter and cool in summer, and Qifeng Mountain (at the foot of the mountain is Lu Rongting's Manor).
Watch monkeys at Longyouhu Ridge; go to the rooftop of Wangdi Tower to see the night view of Nanning; now in winter you can go to Jiuqu Bay or Jiahe Hot Spring to soak (although it is hot water, haha).
In the summer, the weather is great for a walk along Folk Song Lake.
If you don't like the above, I recommend you to go to Kunlun Pass, 20 kilometers away from Nanning, to see the ruins of the Kunlun Pass Battle fought by the Japanese invaders.
The first time I went to see it was at least 30 years ago. I still remember Du Yuming’s solemn and fierce elegiac couplet (at the mountain gate).
