Fuling District is one of the jurisdictions in Chongqing, located in the middle of Chongqing and the hinterland of the Three Gorges reservoir area. Located at the intersection of the Yangtze River and Wujiang River, it has always been called the gateway to southeastern Sichuan. Economically, it is located at the junction of Yangtze River Economic Belt, Chengdu-Chongqing Shuangcheng Economic Circle and Wulingshan Poverty Alleviation Development Zone. It is an important strategic fulcrum city of Chongqing metropolitan area, the core city of Chongqing one-hour economic circle and the eastern central city of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone.

The word "Fuling" is taken from "Wang Ba's Tomb on the shore of Fucheng River". During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, it was the capital of Pakistan. In the thirtieth year of Zhao Xiang, King of Qin (277 BC), it was located in the county. In March, 1997, Fuling City, Sichuan Province was merged into Chongqing City. In 65438+February, the original Fuling City, Zhicheng District and Lidu District were revoked and Fuling District of Chongqing was established.

The specialties mainly include Fuling mustard tuber, Fuling carrot and Fuling oil mash. The scenic spots mainly include Baiheliang, Wulingshan Rift Valley, Wulingshan National Forest Park, Damuhua Valley, 8 16 underground nuclear project, Maxim wine town and so on.

Fuling District is located in the southeast edge of Sichuan Basin, between 29 21'north latitude and 30 01'east longitude, with an area of 2,942.36 square kilometers. The easternmost part is Baekje Fort in Shi Jiao Town, the westernmost part is the tea garden in Zengfu Township, the southernmost part is Jinjiadian in Le Tong Township, and the northernmost part is the Red Wall Garden in Zhenxi Town. The whole territory is 74.5 kilometers wide from east to west and 70.8 kilometers long from north to south.

In terms of administrative divisions, Fuling District is located in the middle of Chongqing, bordering Fengdu County in the east, Wulong District and Nanchuan District in the south, Banan District in the west and Changshou District and Dianjiang County in the north. Fuling District, near the intersection of the Yangtze River and Wujiang River, has always been the water transportation hub in southeast Sichuan and the largest material distribution center in Wujiang River Basin.

This area is located in the center of the Three Gorges reservoir area, along the Yangtze River120km, namely Chaotianmen in Chongqing, and connects the provinces of Central China and East China in the east. Along the Wujiang River, you can reach Wulong and Pengshui, the border between Chongqing and Hunan, and all areas in northern and eastern Guizhou.
