what is there to see?

The ancestral temple of Huang in Guishan County was built by the Huang family in Huizhou Prefecture in the 22nd year of Qing Daoguang (1842). It was later changed into a library as an educational place for the Huang clan.

The study room is located in the southeast to the northwest. The whole building uses gray cloth tiles, hard mountain roofs, trimmed with green glazed tiles, and blue brick walls. It is a three-way quadrangle layout with a width of 24 meters and a depth of 43.1 meters, covering an area of about 1,111 square meters. There are 5 rooms in the first entrance and 3 rooms in the depth, and another three rooms in the south of the library are connected by alley side doors.

The front gate and wall of Huang's study room are mainly made of granite. On both sides of the gate and in front of the bright room, an arch stone truss is placed, and the lower sides of the truss are replaced by stone horns. A stone lion is placed on the truss, and a three-liter bucket arch is placed on the lion. Stone plaques and couplets are inlaid above the gate, and there are a pair of Sumeru pier stones on both sides of the entrance. The cloister * * * connecting the two entrances consists of three parts, with a hard mountain roof in the middle and a shed roof in the front and back. A combined component consisting of octagonal melon edges and plum blossom bucket is installed on the beam of the roll shed corridor to support the purlin. Many murals are preserved on the wall.

Huang's library is an ancient building with large preservation scale and high architectural artistic value in Huizhou, and it is also a good material for studying the origin, distribution and clan rules of Huang in Guishan County.
