Another character in the legend is considered to be the Kitchen God, and he is Wang Zhan.

Once, Emperor Wendi of Sui asked Wang Zhan what was the best thing, and he replied that it was salt. Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty killed him for playing the king. Since then, chefs have been too scared to put salt in their cooking. Emperor Wendi of Sui ate food without taste, and then he woke up, so he named the chef King Zhan.

As a result, Wang Zhan is the founder of the kitchen appliance industry and is known as "Wang Zhan the Great". Another said that this Wang Zhan was a tramp named Jim Mouse, not a cook at all.

Wendi killed many chefs because the food was not delicious, so no one dared to cook, so he had to post a list of talents, and Zhan Mouse was mistakenly called into the palace. Emperor Wendi asked him: What is the best? He said: Hunger is the best.

Later, he led Emperor Wendi out of the city in search of "hunger". When Wendi was really hungry, he took out chopped green onion cakes for Wendi to eat. Emperor Wendi realized that food was delicious only when he was hungry, so he named King Zhan Mouse.
