Duan Hong was born in an ordinary peasant family in Xinjiang County, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, Guan Gong's hometown, and he loved Pu Opera in his hometown since childhood. At the age of 12, she was admitted to Shanxi Xinjiang Pu Opera Troupe and began her opera career.

In p>22, she participated in the Folk Singer Competition held in Shanxi Province and won the prize, which has attracted more attention since then.

The singing features of Shanxi Pu Opera are high-pitched and impassioned. Duan Hong has a natural good voice. Since she entered the opera stage at the age of 15, her sweet voice has conquered many opera fans and won praise from famous opera artists. Over the past few years, many arias sung by her, such as Marriage of Little Black, The Red Lantern, Li Huiniang and Du Shiniang, have been widely circulated and become classics for opera fans and professional actors to learn to cover.
