Everyone must love delicious food. I am also a member of the foodie family. As soon as the weekend came, I asked my mother to take me to "Xinglong Food Street".
After a while, we arrived. The food street is crowded with people, and the sound of hawkers and music is endless. The aroma of various delicacies comes to your nostrils. Strolling along the street, we saw various food stalls one after another: Tianjin Goubuli steamed buns, Xinjiang mutton skewers, Changsha stinky tofu, Indian flying pancakes...
We finally squeezed into a "small restaurant" "Long Soup Dumplings" shop. The place was already packed, so I quickly squeezed out an empty seat in the corner. The waiter brought over a steaming basket of soup dumplings and opened the steamer lid. Immediately, the steam mixed with the aroma of meat and noodles rushed towards you. I inhaled hard. Ah! The fragrance is intoxicating. Each soup dumpling is like a doll, white and fat. I couldn't wait to pick up the chopsticks and prepare to have a full meal. My mother told me that there is also a formula for eating xiaolongtangbao: lift it gently, move it slowly, open the window first, and then suck the soup. I followed the method my mother taught me: use chopsticks to gently lift the soup dumpling, slowly move it to the plate, then make a skylight on the top of the soup dumpling - open a small opening, and then take a gentle sip, and the soup will be released. The aroma lingers in the mouth. Finally, with a light bite, the skin broke and the meat filling was solved in one bite. The aroma of the meat and the freshness of the soup are evocative and lingering.
I was attracted by the crowd not far away. I saw a few handsome guys and beauties from Xinjiang playing the matouqin and dancing folk dances to attract customers. The mutton kebabs are tender, smooth and taste wonderful.
I tasted the double-skinned milk with smooth elasticity and overflowing milky aroma, the crispy roasted duck roll with charred outside and tender inside, thin skin and lots of stuffing...
My mouth still wants to eat, but my stomach can no longer hold it.
On the way home, I was thinking that I can taste so many delicious foods without leaving the city. What a foodie’s happiness!
