Kaiyuan Temple is located in the West Street of Licheng District, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. It is an important cultural relic in the southeast coast of China and the largest Buddhist temple in Fujian Province. The temple was founded in the second year of the Tang Dynasty (686), and was originally named Lotus Dojo. In the 26th year of Kaiyuan (738), it was renamed Kaiyuan Temple. The existing main temples were built in Ming and Qing dynasties, with a length of 26 meters from north to south and a width of 3 meters from east to west, covering an area of 78, square meters.
In p>1982, Kaiyuan Temple was listed as the second batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
Fuwen Temple, also known as Fuxue, is located on the bank of Baiyuan Chuanchi, Licheng District, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, and is a national key cultural relic protection unit. It was built at the end of Kaiyuan in Tang Dynasty, and moved to this site at the beginning of Taiping and Xingguo in Northern Song Dynasty (976-981 AD). It has a long history, large scale and magnificent temples. It is the largest Confucian temple complex in Southeast China, and its architectural style is rare among existing Confucian temples in China.
Qingyuan Mountain National Key Scenic Area is located in the southeast of Fujian Province, on the northeast bank of the lower reaches of Jinjiang River, between 118 3' ~ 118 37' east longitude and 24 54' ~ 25 ' north latitude, bordering Quanzhou city on three sides. It is 16 kilometers away from Xiamen and 196 kilometers away from Fuzhou.
