Maqiao Village is located in the west of Chulan Town, Qiaoqu District, Suzhou City, 3 kilometers away from the resident of the town government and about 30 kilometers away from Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Xu Lu and Caoma Road pass through the village, and there are rich resources such as strange stones and inkstones. Jiunv Tomb, a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit, is a stone tomb in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, located on the north slope of the village tomb. The village consists of Maqiao, Xiatuan and Sunxiaozhuang, with an area of 12.9 square kilometers. There are five natural villages, including Sun Xiaozhuang, Ma Xiaozhuang, Mashantou, Nanzhangzhuang and Xiatuan, and 19 villagers' groups, with a population of 4,969 and per capita arable land of 5,955 mu.

The village is dominated by agricultural economy, mainly planting wheat, corn and soybeans.
