They considered King Pangu to be an epoch-making hero and their ancestor.

In 1996, Youling Qianhu Yao Village was awarded the title of Hometown of National Folk Art in Guangdong Province by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture; in 1998, it was awarded the title of Hometown of Chinese Folk Art by the Ministry of Culture.

On the way to Ancient Yao Village, there are green rice fields on the small karst ground, full of life everywhere.

The Yaozhai roads built along the mountains are all steep and winding, stone-paved paths, leading to every household.

Most of the houses are built of bricks and shingles, with stone floors.

Wooden piles reinforce and support the top layer.

There are old people sitting at the door from time to time, and some leg-mounted fences have been built, similar to a viewing platform.

Most of the old people in the village wear Yao costumes. The women wear blue tunics tied with white belts, and the men wear red headscarves. It is said that this red headscarf, which is more than a foot long when lowered, can ward off evil spirits.

Climbing up the stairs, although the house is very simple, the scenery is pretty good.

For houses renovated with government funding, the roofs have been replaced with tiles and white strips.

Some houses in the village are dilapidated and dilapidated. Although there are few people there, there are still residents living in them.

Yaozhai is slowly being developed, and a rebuilt ancient temple on the top of the mountain is also one of the viewing platforms of the ancient village.

During the day, the observation deck on the top of the mountain is crowded with tourists. The view overlooking Youling Yao Village is impressive, but it is still a virgin land that is unknown to people.

Transportation: Starting from Guangzhou, drive along Guangqing Expressway, then turn to Qinglian Expressway, exit at Sanpai/Jiupei, drive along S261 for 10 kilometers, turn left for 5.2 kilometers, then turn right for about 4 kilometers to reach the destination.

The whole journey takes about 4 hours.

Touling Qin-Han Ancient Road This ancient road is located at the junction of Lianzhou and Hunan. It was a temporary road opened by Zhao Tuo when he led his troops to Lingnan.

At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty (about 76-82 AD), Zheng Hong, the great Sinong, was ordered to build this ancient road into a highway from Lingnan to Beijing.

It is impossible to verify when Shunling Village was established.

The villagers are all from the neighboring province of Hunan and rely on ancient roads to prosper.

People in the village have opened inns.

Until the 1930s, business in the village was still booming. The bluestone bars on both sides of the street were full of businessmen, and there was an endless stream of porters coming and going.

Dozens of hotels were bursting at the seams, and even homestay beds had to be vacated for guests to stay overnight.

Shunling Village leads to Hunan on the one hand, and Nantianmen of Guting on the other.

It is difficult to confirm when it was established.

The pavilion has two arches made of bluestone strips. Each arch has a stone tablet engraved with the name of the pavilion. Walking out of Guangyin Pavilion, there is a 3-meter-wide bluestone road with 800 steps extending down the mountain. There are trees on both sides and miscellaneous trees.

Huaiqing Pavilion is halfway up the mountain, where merchants used it to shelter from wind and rain. There is an inscription recording the history of its construction.

The pavilion was built in the 18th year of Shunzhi (1661 AD) and rebuilt in the 58th year of Qianlong (1793 AD).

It has a history of more than three hundred years.

In the 1980s, nearby villagers used this ancient road to go to the market in the main roadside town, but now it is very deserted.

The wild pythons in the mountains are overgrown with weeds.

The ancient route that Zhao Tuo took to send troops south was no longer glorious, and was gradually forgotten or even faded.
