Anhui Xinhua College is located in Hefei, the hometown of Bao Gong and the capital of Anhui, a historic city. It is located at the south foot of Dashushan Forest Park in Hefei National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. It is the first provincial general undergraduate college in Anhui Province with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the right to award bachelor's degrees.

The school, formerly known as Anhui Xinhua Vocational College, was founded by Anhui Xinhua Group Investment Co., Ltd. in 2000.

In May 2005, the school was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and was renamed as Anhui Xinhua College.
