As a senior foodie, whenever I enjoy delicious food, I always hope to take some beautiful photos and tell my friends in the circle of friends, "This tastes really good!" After long-term research, I have summarized some food photography skills and share them with you:
Photography skills:
1. The lighting must be good when shooting, and try not to use flash - ensure the light source is Sufficient can avoid excessive photo noise and insufficient color saturation. Flash light sources that are too hard tend to ruin the aesthetics of food.
2. Either learn to arrange the dishes, or only take partial photos - if the dishes are beautifully arranged and the lighting is reasonable, you can shoot all the food through an overhead lens. If the dishes are not beautiful enough, you can try to shoot the food. Local and macro viewing enhances the beauty of food and improves the depth of photos.
Post-production skills:
Good photos are often artistically reprocessed through post-production color correction. How to use software to quickly adjust food? We use MIX Filter Master to show you a case:
Step one: Open the material picture and reduce the level to -100 (this step is to reduce the interference of the picture layout details)
Second step Step: Use the hue/saturation tool to fine-tune the main color of the food: orange +0 +70 +25 yellow +0 -30 +0 green +0 +100 +60
Step 3: Use hue Separation tool, adjust for the white highlight area: H: Hue 215, Saturation 15. Finally, use the color balance tool to adjust the main body and highlights of the photo again: M: R-C -25H: B-Y -40
Ok, in three simple steps, the color adjustment of the food photo is complete. Remember to adjust the parameters. Save it as a custom filter for easier use in the future.
Finally, let’s take a look at the effect comparison chart:
