The most ritualistic things I have done during the Spring Festival are as follows:

1. Cleaning the house

Starting from the 23rd of the twelfth lunar month, I clean the house. It took me a day to clean the kitchen spotlessly and the windows were bright and clean. It ranges from stoves, range hoods, and floors to small items such as bowls, chopsticks, and spoons. I was really exhausted this day, but looking at the overall clean kitchen, the fatigue of the day was nothing. On this day, the Kitchen God is worshiped, and the Kitchen God will be very happy to see such a clean kitchen. Clean the room. I took out everything from the walls, windows, floors, rooms, and even closets, folded them into pieces, and re-categorized them. After tidying up the entire wardrobe, the moment you open it is really pleasing to the eye.

2. Steamed buns

Steamed steamed buns, steamed bean paste buns, vegetable buns, meat buns, and dumplings are also ready. It has been waiting for us to kiss and enjoy it happily in the refrigerator!

3. Buy meat to prepare for the New Year

Buy meat and braised pork, everything is ready. Beef, mutton, chicken, fish, shrimp, all kinds of meat are available. Braised beef is my specialty and my favorite. Of course it has already been marinated.

4. Purchase New Year’s goods, add bowls and chopsticks

People often say that adding bowls and chopsticks every year symbolizes the prosperity of the family, so adding bowls and chopsticks is a must every year. . The supermarket is really overcrowded. In addition to adding bowls and chopsticks, you can also buy various seasonings, ham, paper towels, fruits, candies, red envelopes, etc.

5. Paste Spring Festival Couplets

Post the upper couplet on the right, the lower couplet on the left, the horizontal ones on the lintel, and the word "福" in the middle of the door. Don't paste the wrong left and right couplets. When posting Spring Festival couplets, you often Some people paste the upper and lower couplets in the wrong position. When pasting couplets, the upper couplet should be attached to the right and the lower couplet should be attached to the left. The reason why it is posted like this is because writing in straight lines is from right to left. Therefore, when reciting the couplets, they are also read from right to left.

6. Vegetable Purchasing

You must buy celery, leeks, cucumbers, etc. Don’t buy vegetables too early as they may spoil easily. Therefore, if you buy early, you have to go to the supermarket to buy vegetables.

7. New Year's Eve Ceremony

On New Year's Eve, we go to the graves to worship our ancestors, set off cannons (cannons are not allowed here), have a reunion dinner, and watch the Spring Festival Gala. On the first day of the Lunar New Year, I bow to my parents and eat dumplings.

On the second day of the Lunar New Year, I go back to my parents’ house, on the third day of the Lunar New Year I go to my uncle, aunt, and aunt’s house, and on the fourth day of the Lunar New Year I go to my brother and sister’s house!
