Third, fire and water caves.
Walk into the fire and water cave
The homology of water and fire, also known as water-fire cave and water-fire river, is a natural scenery where water and fire coexist. It is located in Guanziling Scenic Area, Baihe, Tainan City, Taiwan Province Province, southwest of the pillow foothills, and the stone wall on the oblique axis of Shangling is close to Liuzhongxi fault. The natural gas emitted by the wall can keep the ignited flame from being extinguished, and at the same time, there is spring water flowing out from the gap in the cliff wall, which is smokeless and flameless, forming a special landscape with fire in water and water in fire. It has been maintained since the Zen master of Baihe Daxian Temple discovered this fire in the 40th year of Kangxi (170 1). 1964 before the Baihe earthquake, there was always a concentrated fire. After the earthquake, flames scattered from several air holes emerged, and the fire was weak, just like flowers floating on the water. During the Japanese occupation of Taiwan Province, villagers carved a statue called the God of Fire and Water or the Immortal God above the fire for worship. 1993, tainan county government listed "fire and water are the same" as the spiritual symbol of the county, taking its inclusive meaning and reorganizing local vendors into shop streets.
