Fenghuang ancient town is indeed a very good scenic spot. The following small series will introduce you some information about this scenic spot, mainly some scenic spots that you can visit, and breakfast issues that everyone cares about. Let's take a look. How to play
1. Laladu
is also called Hong 'andu. Anyone who has seen Border Town should have an impression. Today's Laladu is a regular means of transportation. The quaint ferry is equipped with monitoring and some necessary equipment, just like a bus. The ferry is ferried across the river by manpower, and the fare is only RMB 1. But for tourists, Laladu is a beautiful scenery. After boarding the boat, the boatman will climb the iron cable with a special wooden handle and ferry the passengers to the other side, as described in the book.
2. Cruise ships
Cruise ships are also a major feature here. It is very pleasant to take a boat trip to Qingshui River when it is cool. But pay attention to the price. You can take a cruise for ¥1/ person. If you don't get this price in the border town, try Hongan Town on the other side.
Border towns may be more famous, with more tourists and generally higher asking prices.
3. Border Town Fair
Every lunar date ending in five or ten is a border town fair. You can go and feel it when you get up in the morning. You can buy local corn Baba in the market, which is wrapped in corn leaves and tastes a bit like steamed bread with corn flour.
4. One foot in three provinces
Below the west bridge head of Chahong Bridge (near Chongqing), there is a triangular pavilion. In front of the pavilion, there is a monument that says, "One foot in three provinces, three provinces smell chickens". This is where the three provinces of Chongqing, Hunan and Guizhou meet.
5. Sanbugu Island
Now it has developed into a resort hotel, next to the pier of Hongan Ancient Town. Because this island is located on the Qingshui River, the yamen in the former three provinces can't manage it, so people here have any problems that can't be solved, so they all come to this island to settle it.
6. Hong 'an Ancient Town
Go straight up from Hong 'an Wharf, and you will find Hong 'an Ancient Town. There are few people, and it is very lively. It is really a quaint ancient town. There are some scenic spots and old shops in the street, such as Border Town Painting and Calligraphy Institute, yongcheng Fabric Shop, Fuxing Bank, etc., which are all in old buildings and are quite worth visiting.
7. Border Town
On the other side of Laladu is the ancient town of Border Town. Walking along the river, there are renovated antique buildings along the coast, with several bars and inns, and more restaurants. At night, the lights are on and the night scene is beautiful. There is a Cuicui Island on this side of the border town, with a statue of Cuicui on it. It is a commemorative island built according to Border Town. Tickets for 25 yuan can only be reached by ferry.
There is a water conservancy project at the end of the river in the ancient town, with two waterwheels and a small dam, which is very unique. Next to the water conservancy project is the White Pagoda, which was mentioned in Border Town. Of course, it was also built by later generations.
8. Jiulong Mountain
From the main street of Hong 'an ancient town, along the direction of Chongqing, there is a mountain, which is called Jiulong Mountain on the map. There are repaired trails and observation decks on the mountain, and you can see the panoramic view of the whole border town. It's too hot for us to go up, so don't miss it for students who want to climb the mountain and look far.
9. Qingshuijiang
When you come here, you will find that people here love playing with water very much, especially in summer. All along the Qingshui River, there are young people, old people, people who wear clothes and people who don't wear clothes (usually children) soaking and playing in the river from morning to night. If you are interested here, you might as well get into the water, but you must pay attention to safety. How to get to the border town
There is no train station, only a car. Only Xiushan, Huayuan and Songtao drive the town directly to the border town. At present, except for tourists who drive by car, anyone who wants to come to the border town has to transfer to these three places. Here are some common routes.
1. From-(train/bus)-Xiushan County-(bus)-Hong 'an Town (border town)
If you take the train to Xiushan, after leaving the station, transfer to Bus No.8 at the roadside bus stop (Wuling Square) or take a taxi to Xiushan Bus Station (the bus route is subject to the bus stop sign). If the bus arrives at Xiushan Passenger Station, you can transfer at the station. At Xiushan Bus Terminal, you can take a bus that goes straight to Hong 'an (border town). It is a white van, which usually passes through Yajiang and then goes to Hong 'an.
PS: After entering the bus station, go directly to Hong 'an's car, without queuing at the ticket office to buy tickets. You get on the bus to buy a ticket to Hong 'an, and start rolling. The fare is RMB 16.
2. Starting point-(bus)-Huayuan County-(bus)-Border Town
The bus from Huayuan to Border Town is not in the bus station, but parked in the border town square near the station (about 1 minutes' walk). It is a minibus with a fare of RMB 7.
3. Starting point-(train/bus)-Jishou City-(bus)-Huayuan County-(bus)-Border Town
Jishou Station is the only train line leading to the border town except Xiushan Station. If you take the train to Jishou, you can find the bus to Huayuan in the front square after leaving the station (fare ¥3). See 2 when you get to the garden.
PS: If there is no bus to Huayuan in the square in front of Jishou Railway Station, you can take a taxi to the West Bus Station and take a bus to Huayuan.
4. Other
Phoenix departure: Take the bus to Jishou in Phoenix, and the fare is RMB 22.
PS: I don't know if there is a direct bus from Phoenix to Huayuan. If there is, there is no need to transfer to Jishou.
departure from Changsha: there is a direct bus from Changsha south bus station to Huayuan, which runs three times a day, and the fare is RMB 15.
tips:
Xiushan Railway Station is very big. When you leave the station, you will pass a taxi pick-up place, and the taxi waiting here will generally charge a higher price. Even if you want to take a taxi, you can stop at the roadside after leaving the station. How to eat
There are quite a lot of restaurants and noodle shops on both sides of Qingshui River, and restaurants along the river in border towns are generally more expensive than Hongan Town. Here are some local specialties. (recommended from the perspective of pure tourists, please contact me if there is anything better to eat as a supplement)
1. Rice tofu
I guess it is made by making tofu, but the raw material is changed into rice. It tastes a bit like bean jelly, cold and covered with hot sauce.
2. Hornfish
Many shops have the signboard of Hornfish. The price of restaurants along the border town is about RMB 5/kg. I don't like fish myself and the price is not very cute, so I didn't taste it. I don't know how it tastes. However, it is indeed a local specialty food, and interested friends can try it.
3. Hand-torn squid
is the food in the barbecue stall at night. We had a barbecue here in Hong 'an Town, and it was grilled without any seasoning. After baking, dip it in the seasoning and eat it. Because the seasoning smells of mustard, I will eat it clearly. Eating it clearly tastes ordinary, so you can ask your boss to brush some barbecue hot sauce for you, and the guests at the next table will enjoy it, which should be a more authentic way to eat it.
4. Breakfast
According to my observation, noodles are not a special snack here, but at present, I only find noodles for breakfast here, and I only see some fried skewers and corn Baba when there is a market. The noodles here are delicious, so I recommend them. About booking
online: You can find "Hong 'an Town" (the one in Xiushan, Chongqing) on the channel of Ma Honeycomb Hotel, but you can't find Hong 'an and Border Town on the Internet where to go. You should search Xiushan or Huayuan as the "location" and then enter Border Town or Hong 'an as the "landmark" to find it. Ctrip can find the ancient town of Hong 'an, but it can't find the border town, so where to go?
Where to live: It's more lively here in the border town, and it feels a little like a phoenix when the lights are on at night. Hongan Town is quaint and quiet, and it is an ancient street with little development, and there are only white street lights at night. Where you want to live depends on your mood. In short, it won't be inconvenient to live anywhere, because neither town is big.
Accommodation price: Generally, if you book about 8 yuan online, you can stay in a standard room with air conditioning, but the conditions are not very good, and the better one is between 2 and 35 yuan. If you go to live directly without booking in advance, the price given by some bosses may be cheaper than online.
tips:
The popularity of the Internet here is late, and many hotel owners don't like to take orders online, so even if the online order is successful, you should call to confirm whether there is a room. In addition, there are many accommodations near the border town, and you can stay without booking. About buying
Surprisingly, I didn't find a store to sell postcards of ancient towns in Hong 'an and Border Town. Many other ancient towns don't have gift shops here, but there are many books describing border towns. There are some local grocery stores. I think the bottles, cans and bamboo baskets sold in them are good gifts, full of local characteristics and beautiful. The most important thing is that they are different from the gifts sold in other ancient towns and should be local.
