Lushunkou has a long history, and its earliest name was Jiangjun Mountain.

Lushunkou is located at the southernmost tip of the Liaodong Peninsula, surrounded by the sea on three sides, connected to Dalian City on one side, and facing the Shandong Peninsula across the sea.

The district has a land area of ??506 square kilometers, of which the urban planning area is 37 square kilometers, and the total coastline is 169 kilometers.
