Recommended 2-day self-driving tour route around Chengdu: Chengdu - Menghuo City - Yele Lake - Chengdu.

In the morning, drive from Chengdu to the legendary Menghuo City of the Three Kingdoms.

Menghuo City is located in Liziping Township, Shimian County, Ya'an City. After getting off the expressway exit, you can reach your destination by driving on National Highway 108 for about 18 kilometers.

Menghuo meadow has a vast territory. Although it is an alpine meadow, it has no flowering season all year round. It is completely different from the Hongyuan and Zoige meadows in Aba Prefecture. The scenery here is also very unique, with primeval forests, towering ancient trees, and a small stream.

It flows down the river valley, surrounded by red rocky beaches covered with red moss, and white clouds flutter across the top of the mountain.

The next morning, we set off for Yele Lake and arrived at the mysterious and primitive Yele Lake in about an hour.

Yele Lake has beautiful scenery all year round.

The most beautiful season of Yele Lake is from June to September. The lake is blue and surrounded by primeval forests, with snow-capped mountains reflected in it. There are large meadows with clusters of rhododendrons and wild flowers, and cattle and sheep roam waist-deep pastures.

Grazing peacefully, because few people know about it and only a few travelers go camping, it is still a paradise scenery.
