Ingredients

Pie filling:

Five Granny Smith apples and five Red Delicious apples, peeled and cut into square pieces (about seven cups)

One cup of white sugar

< p>One teaspoon of cinnamon powder

Half a teaspoon of salt

One rice spoon of starch

How to make the cake filling:

1) Mix all filling ingredients, except starch, evenly. After two to three hours, pour out half a cup of apple juice and set aside.

2) Put the pie filling into the pot and cook over low heat until the apples are just soft.

3) Mix the starch with apple juice and thicken it.

Make the crust:

1) Preheat the oven to 450°F.

2) Use a mixer to beat the flour and vegetable oil into peanut-sized particles.

3) Pour in the water slowly until it can form a ball.

4) Roll out two-fifths of the dough into a nine-inch diameter sheet, cover with a damp cloth and set aside (cake dough).

5) Roll three-fifths of the dough into a ten-inch diameter crust and place it into a nine-inch pie plate (cake bottom).

6) Bake the cake base for ten to fifteen minutes (each oven has different temperatures and times) until the crust is very light yellow.

Making the cake:

1) Turn the oven to 400°F.

2) Place the pie filling on the bottom of the pie, and place the pie surface on top of the pie filling.

3) Bake for twenty to twenty-five minutes, until the surface of the cake is yellow.
