Hangzhou magistrate Chen Lu, Ningbo magistrate Bian Baocheng, Jiaxing magistrate Luo Zisen, and alternate magistrates Gu Deheng, Gong Xintong, and Xiguang hastily finalized the case and dismissed them. The minister Hu Ruilan and the governor Yang Changrui neglected human life and were also dismissed. Other officers also pretended to be guilty, and they were given the eighty-year-old Shen Xiang stick and served for two years. The servant Chen Caiquan has a hundred sticks and is exiled for three thousand miles. Zhang Jun was dismissed from the post of instructor. Ge Pinlian's mother, Shen Yu, had a hundred sticks and was only four years old. Bi Xiugu did not avoid suspicion, so she invited people to discuss things, and the staff was eighty. Yang Naiwu did not follow the etiquette and was dismissed from office. Chen Hu was exempted from punishment because he was executed in prison and Qian Baosheng died of illness. The Yang Bi injustice case lasted for three years and four months. The case was full of twists and turns and caused a stir in both the government and the public. After Yang Naiwu was released from prison, he made a living by raising silkworms and growing mulberries. In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), he died of ulcers at the age of 74. His grave is in Anshan Village, Ximenwai, Yuhang Town. After Bi Xiugu was released from prison, she became a nun at Zhunti Temple in Shimentang outside the south gate, and was named Huiding. He passed away in the 10th year of the Republic of China (1920) at the age of 76.
