After learning opera for less than a year, 6-year-old girl Zhang Mei won the "Liyuan Spring" children's group opera fan competition for three consecutive times and won the "Liyuan Spring". "Liyuan Chun" won the gold medal in the 2002 Children's Main Competition.

Received many media interview invitations. But when the reporter went to interview her, the little girl said: "I actually don't like singing opera, and I don't like learning opera! In September 2001, Zhang Mei's parents Through the recommendation of a friend, I found an opera teacher for Zhang Mei at Luoyang Art School. At the beginning, the opera teacher was unwilling to accept Zhang Mei as a disciple because she was too young. Because the students who studied with teachers at the art school were all candidates for the college entrance examination, and were basically around 17 or 18 years old, while Zhang Mei was only over five years old at the time. But her persistent mother, who loved opera, ignored the teacher's rejection and took Zhang Mei to visit the opera teacher's home "three times in a thatched cottage". In the end, Mei's mother's sincerity and persistence impressed the opera teacher. The teacher decided to accept Zhang Mei as a disciple and teach her opera.

After Xiao Zhangmei studied for two weeks, the teacher discovered that her talent and understanding were extremely good. She could sing any aria accurately as long as she was taught it once. I listened to the usual arias two or three times and basically learned them. More than a month later, Xiao Zhangmei was far ahead of the veteran students who were studying with her in both singing and movement.

Through our reporter's interview, we learned that at Zhang Mei's home at that time, a childish child with a face full of childishness told reporters frankly that she didn't like singing. Zhang Mei's mother also told reporters that although Zhang Mei has achieved certain results in opera, she is too young and her main task is still studying. Academics come first.
