Pleurotus nebrodensis is a low-temperature mushroom, and the suitable temperature for mycelium growth is generally around 5-30 degrees. However, the optimum growth temperature should be around 23 degrees, and when it is lower than 5 degrees, its growth rate will obviously decrease. But above 35 degrees, the mycelium will stop growing. If the mycelium is post-mature, it takes about 30-45 days to mature physiologically. The temperature should be controlled at about -3- 15℃, preferably at 7- 12℃ to ensure the normal differentiation of fruiting bodies. Then in the fruiting period, the optimum temperature is about 13- 18 degrees.

2. Moisture requirements:

The growth of Pleurotus nebrodensis requires very high water. The water-material ratio should be controlled at about 1: 1, and the water content of the culture medium should be kept at least 65%. During the growth of Pleurotus nebrodensis, the air humidity should be controlled at about 85%. Remember that the humidity should not be too high, otherwise there will be yellow mushrooms, which will affect sales. If the temperature is 6-7 degrees, the humidity should not be too low, otherwise the bottle cap will crack. Finally, the water content of Pleurotus nebrodensis is actually relatively small. Generally, it can be stored for about two weeks at 15 degree after harvesting.

3. Lighting requirements:

The growth of Pleurotus nebrodensis does not need much light. In general, it can grow normally in dark culture during spawning period. But in the growth and development stage of mushrooms, some scattered light is still needed. Especially when the fruiting body grows, if it is completely in the dark environment, the differentiation of the fruiting body will be seriously affected. Therefore, we mainly keep scattered light about 13 hours per day, but because of different varieties, the demand for light is different. If the light is too weak, mushrooms will deform and bacteria will cover small areas.

4, oxygen requirements:

Oxygen is also the main environmental requirement for the growth of Pleurotus nebrodensis. Pleurotus nebrodensis is an aerobic fungus, and its mycelium and fruiting body need plenty of fresh air. Therefore, ventilation is very important when cultivating Pleurotus nebrodensis. If the indoor carbon dioxide concentration exceeds 0.4%, it will affect the formation of Pleurotus nebrodensis primordium, and abnormal mushrooms will appear. Therefore, regardless of the growth stage of Pleurotus nebrodensis, attention should be paid to ventilation, and at the same time, attention should be paid to keeping it mild, and the temperature and wind speed should be coordinated.
