Milk snake is a non-toxic and beneficial king snake. Milk snakes are distributed in the eastern United States and southern Ontario. It often haunts barns and farmyards to catch mice and rabbits. Its name comes from a false legend that it loves to drink milk. Milk snakes like to attack and devour other poisonous and non-poisonous snakes, so milk snakes are immune to most venoms.
