Functions: Produce body fluids and quench thirst, reduce fire and moisturize dryness, drain pus and reduce swelling. It is used to treat fever, thirst, thirst, jaundice, dryness of the lungs, coughing up blood, carbuncles, hemorrhoids and fistulas.

Usage and dosage: Oral administration: decoction, 3 to 4 qian; or made into pills or powder; external use: grind into powder and sprinkle or mix for application.

Note: People with spleen and stomach deficiency and loose stools should not take it.

Attached prescription:

① To treat lily disease and thirst: Trichosanthes root and oyster (boil) in equal parts. For powder, drink and take it as a prescription.

②Cure severe thirst: dig deep into the root of Trichosanthes trichosanthes, peel it thickly to the white part, cut it into inches, soak it in water for one day and one night, leave it in water for five days, take out the rotten flesh, pound it and grind it , filter it through a silk bag, and dry it like powder. Take Fang Cun Dagger with water, three or four days a day. You can also make it into powdered porridge or eat it with cheese. There is no limit on the amount. Take the difference and stop.

③Cure thirst and gastrointestinal heat: five liang each of Trichosanthes root and ginger, two liters each of raw Ophiopogon japonicus (juice), reed root (cut), three liters of grass root (cut). Finely chop the five flavors, boil three liters of it with a bucket of water, and take it three times.

④Cure the critical illness of black jaundice: Take one pound of Trichosanthes trichosanthes root, pound the juice into Liuhe, and take it immediately. If there is yellow water coming out from the urine, if it does not come out, try again.

⑤ To treat sudden yellowing of the face, skin and flesh in children: Pound the juice from the roots of Trichosanthes trichosanthes and add two tablespoons of honey. The two flavors are warm and harmonious, divide and take again.

⑥Treatment of cough caused by deficiency heat: one liang of trichosanthin and three qian of ginseng. At the end of the day, take 1 penny for each dose and drink it with rice soup.

⑦Cure carbuncle without ulceration: Divide the root of Trichosanthes tuber root into equal parts. At the end, mix it with vinegar and apply it. ⑧Cure gastric and duodenal ulcers: one liang of trichosanthin, five qian of caladium, and ten egg shells. Grind the noodles, take 2 qian each time, and drink it with boiled water

⑨Cure carbuncle: Trichosanthes root, boil dry with bitter wine, pound and sift. Bitters and spread on paper. ⑩Treatment of nipple ulcers: 2 liang of Trichosanthin powder, grind into powder, mix with egg white for application.

⑾ To treat postpartum breast blowing, swelling, hardness and pain, ranging from breast envy to breast cancer: one tael of Trichosanthes root and one penny of frankincense. At the end of the day, mix it with warm wine and drink it for two qian each time.

⑿To treat acne: trichosanthin and talc are divided into equal parts. At the end, mix with water and apply.

⒀Treatment of bayberry Tianbu: Trichosanthes trichosanthes, Ligusticum chuanxiong and four liang each, and Sophora japonica one liang. At the end of the day, take rice paste pills and Wu Zi Da. Take seven to eighty pills of each kongxin light ginger decoction
