Hairtail belongs to migratory fish. The hairtail along the coast of China can be divided into two categories: south and north. The hairtail in the north is larger than that in the south, overwintering in the south of the Yellow Sea and swimming to the Bohai Sea in spring, forming a spring fish season, and returning to the wintering area in autumn to form an autumn fish season. The hairtail in the south moves north-south every year along the western edge of the East China Sea according to different seasons, making reproductive migration to the north in spring and wintering migration to the south in winter. The hairtail in the East China Sea can be divided into spring and winter seasons.
The habit of hairtail
Hairtail swimming ability is poor, floating on the surface of seawater during the day and descending to the bottom of the sea at night. At rest, the head is up and the body is vertical, only by waving the dorsal fin and pectoral fin, and the eyes are watching the movement on the head. If the prey is found, the dorsal fin vibrates rapidly, the body bends and pounces on the food.
Hairtail has the characteristics of queuing in groups. Every spring, when the water temperature rises, hairtail swims to the shore in groups, and from south to north, which is the fishing season. At the winter solstice, the water temperature drops, and hairtail swims deep into the water to avoid the cold.
