Talus beans are rich in foliage, soft stems and less hairy, all kinds of livestock are happy to eat. When used for grazing, the grazing tolerance is good. Can be mixed with a variety of grasses and used for grazing or silage, more is taken with the corn mix. Harvesting should pay attention to control the height of grass in 40cm or so, so as not to affect the growth of talus beans. It is harvested after flowering and before seed setting, and can be adjusted to make good hay. Used for green feeding, usually not harvested in the first year, to get rid of weeds, the second year onwards can be collected twice a year. Mu yield about 1000-1500kg of fresh grass, fresh grass chemical composition as Table 51.
The distance bean can be used as a green manure cover crop for the rubber garden or tropical orchard. Due to strong shade tolerance, winter does not fall leaves or semi-fallen leaves, can cover the ground for a long time. Soil effect is good, but in the early growth is quite slow, so in the young rubber garden, orchard planting, often mixed with hairy beans or Java kudzu, to cover early. To be gum forest, fruit trees grow up shade, hairy vine beans or Java kudzu decline, distance from the petal beans can also maintain a good degree of coverage.
Table 51 Talus bean chemical composition table quoted from Su Jiakai and other editors, "excellent forage grass cultivation technology", 1983, Agricultural Press
Used as green manure, can be mixed with upright gray leaf beans, wood beans, to make up for the lack of production that year. Talus bean fresh grass fertilizer score: nitrogen 0.66%, phosphorus pentoxide 0.09%, potassium oxide 0.43%.
Cultivation points
Select the more fertile land, plow harrow tilling broken soil after sowing. Seed treatment should be carried out before sowing, can be used to start the temperature of 70 ℃ of hot water soak seeds for 6 hours, or with concentrated sulfuric acid treatment for 15 minutes after washing, and then soak in water for 12 hours. Pro-sowing if inoculated with rhizobium, to improve the yield has a good effect. Sowing period in March-April is preferred, according to 50 × 50cm or 80 × 50cm hole sowing. The seed weight is 23g per thousand grains, about 0.4-0.5kg per mu. You can also use plugs to propagate, choose thick branches, 3-4 sections as a section, about 30cm long. 20cm row spacing seedlings, cuttings to reveal the upper end of a section of the ground, to be long roots and buds, can be transplanted.
Before planting, each mu of organic fertilizer about 1000kg, phosphate fertilizer 20-25kg as base fertilizer. Seedling period should pay attention to plowing and weeding, combined with the application of 1 time nitrogen fertilizer, in order to accelerate growth. Talus bean pests and diseases are few, stay in the seed field, if the pod borer damage, should be prevented and controlled.
In the case of mixed planting, the seeds can be mixed and sown in a certain proportion. The ratio is as follows: from the petal bean: hairy trailing bean: kudzu = 4:5:1; from the petal bean: kudzu = 1:1; from the petal bean: hairy trailing bean = 1:1. from the petal bean seed is difficult to mechanical harvesting, stay in the seed is appropriate to set up a bracket, in order to hand-picked, to improve the yield, usually acres of seed production of 15kg or so.
