1. Step 1: Determine whether it needs to be put in the refrigerator.
Different types of bread have their own storage methods and the best eating time. (The following is the room temperature of 18C-25C)
Sandwich and cheese bread: it can be stored for up to 4 hours at room temperature. It is recommended to eat it immediately. It is recommended to refrigerate it on the same day.
Hard European bread such as baguette: it can be stored for up to 8 hours at room temperature. It is recommended to store toast/soft European bread (no stuffing, sweet stuffing) frozen for up to 2-3 days at room temperature. It is recommended to store it frozen.
Soft European (meat stuffing): It can be stored at room temperature for up to 1 day. Frozen storage is not recommended.
Crispy bread: It can be stored for up to 3-5 days at room temperature. Frozen storage is not recommended.
The fresh-keeping time of hard European bread is relatively short at room temperature, so paper bags should be used to preserve this kind of bread, so that the bread can breathe properly and prevent the moisture inside the bread from seeping out to make the crust soft.
Step 2: Cut the bread.
Bread is cut when you buy it home, which has many advantages:
Conducive to repackaging (take as much as you eat).
Shorten the natural thawing time (the time saved by cutting bread has to be spent when the bread thaws, and it will take longer).
Improve the utilization rate of refrigerator space (the actual capacity of refrigerator is actually related to personal storage capacity).
Tips: the kitchen knife is overheated on both sides 10 second is better for cutting bread.
Step 3: Pack the bread.
The sliced bread should be repackaged. The main packaging materials include plastic wrap, fresh-keeping bag and sealed bag. Among them, the most recommended reusable food sealed bag (IKEA, Ziploc) is also very cost-effective, and each bag is less than 1 yuan.
Small bread can be wrapped in plastic wrap.
Tips: Vent the air before sealing and mark the date.
Step 4: put it in the refrigerator for freezing.
Don't hesitate to freeze or refrigerate, freeze!
The experiment shows that the aging degree of bread stored in the cold storage room of 7C 1 day is equivalent to that stored in the room temperature of 3C for 6 days. In other words, refrigerated bread can not only keep fresh, but also accelerate aging, making the bread skin tough, the bread ladle dry and brittle, and the flavor is lost.
Although frozen bread locks up the water in the bread, the water will still slowly lose over time. It is most recommended to eat frozen bread in summer within 1 week, and the longest time should not exceed 2 weeks.
Short-term storage of bread with fresh vegetables, whipped cream and meat products can be put in the refrigerator for refrigeration.
