For a long time, granite and marble mines with architectural decoration have always used open-pit mining because of their large size, square shape and particularity of mining. There are also a few marble mines abroad that use cave mining, but the cave mining technology of granite facing stone mines has not yet made a breakthrough. In recent years, due to the constraints of environmental protection, ecology, forestry and other related policies and regulations, the open-pit mining of stone resources has been restricted. However, since last year, Quanzhou Xinxing Quarrying Technology and Equipment Research Institute has organized experts to tackle key technical problems, continuously debugged and improved the mine site in Nanning, Guangxi, and successfully implemented cave mining technology. At present, the mass production of this equipment has broken through the unsolved problem of cave mining in granite-faced stone mines and created a precedent for cave mining in granite-faced stone mines at home and abroad.
