Acanthopanax senticosus wine originated from Li Shizhen's Compendium of Materia Medica in Ming Dynasty. It is recorded that Acanthopanax senticosus "tonifies the middle energizer, strengthens the bones and muscles, strengthens the will, and spends his old age with a light body after long service", which is even more famous among the people. According to historical records, it has a long history and is very famous. In China, Wujiapi wine is produced in Guangzhou, Tianjin and Zhejiang, among which Wujiapi wine produced in Guangzhou is the most famous. 1963, 1979, Guangzhou wujiapi wine won the title of national quality wine in the second (1963) and third (1979) national famous wine selection meeting. 1988 won the gold medal of the first national food Expo, which is the only highest honor award for reforming wine.
According to legend, when Emperor Qianlong made his southern tour, Huang Taiyi, who was accompanying him, carefully concocted Wujiapi wine according to the prescription of Compendium of Materia Medica, which cured the symptoms of wind, evil, dampness and poison of Emperor Yan Yong (later acceded to the throne as Emperor Jiaqing), so Emperor Qianlong sealed Wujiapi wine as royal wine. Later, Dr. Huang Taiyi came to Xiguan, Guangzhou anonymously because he was tired of court battles, and opened a pharmacy at 1795, bringing the royal acanthopanax wine to the homes of ordinary people.
