Before liberation, there were no electric fans, air conditioners, electric stoves, televisions, VCDs, DVDs, refrigerators, washing machines, or even mobile phones, computers and broadband networks. Use a fan to enjoy the cool in hot days, and rely on the fire to keep warm in cold days. I am tired of reading books or going to the theater. If the delicious food can't be preserved, I will fry it and eat it when it tastes stale. It's too tired to wash the clothes of the whole family alone.

After liberation, especially after the reform and opening up, the lights and telephones upstairs and downstairs are air-conditioned when it is hot and heated when it is cold.
