Yantai has many varieties of apples, among which Red Fuji, Gala, Sansa, Red General and Golden Delicious are the most representative.

1. The development period of Red Fuji is 170 to 180 days. It is mature and picked in mid-to-late October. The fruit is extremely storage-resistant and can be stored in a cold-wind warehouse until July of the following year.

2. Gala is bright red in color and very beautiful in appearance. It is picked maturely from late August to early September.

3. Sansa is famous as Shanxia. The fruit is conical or oblate, with a rich pink color on the sunny side and a pink color on the shady side. It is picked when mature in late August.

4. Red General matures more than 30 days earlier than Red Fuji, and is mature and picked in mid-September; it is not easy to become sticky and can be stored naturally until the Spring Festival.

5. The golden crown is famous for its golden handsome man and yellow banana. The fruit is large and has a growth period of 140 days. It is harvested when mature in late September.
