When molting, they usually look for hidden objects, such as aquatic plants or under plant leaves.

The maximum weight gain after molting can reach 95%. Generally, sexual maturity can be achieved by molting 1 1 time, and sexually mature individuals can continue to molt. Its life is not long, about 1 year. However, in the case of lack of food, low temperature and drought, the life span can reach 2-3 years at most.
