Plot:
Before the Great War, a small town on the Trout River in Montana, USA, was home to the Presbyterian ministers, the Rev. Tom Skerritt, a Presbyterian minister, lives with his family. In addition to preaching for the townspeople, the McColleans loved to read and fly-fish in the beautiful Trout River. The McColleans had two boys, Norman, the oldest, who was steady and reserved, and Paul, the youngest, who was strong, stubborn, and wild. They learned the art of fishing from their father, but also learned what it means to be a man, and when World War I broke out in 1917, Norman (Craig Sheffer) joined the U.S. Forest Service, and Paul (Brad Pitt) worked as a pool lifeguard, the only thing that stayed the same was their love of fishing. Norman notices that his brother slowly stops fishing to the beat his dad taught him and invents his own rhythm, and he's undoubtedly a fishing genius.
