Oat is the "third staple food" after rice and wheat. From the table, we can clearly see that the proportion of nutrients in oatmeal is relatively high.
1, protein
The protein content in cereals is between 7%- 16%, so the protein content per 100g oatmeal in our table is 15mg, and the first limiting amino acid of most cereal seeds is lysine, but protein of oats and buckwheat is an exception. They are very special, and the lysine content in them is sufficient, so the utilization rate is high.
2, vitamins
The content of B vitamins, especially VB 1 and niacin, is an important source of these two vitamins in the diet. In addition, it also contains a certain amount of VB2, pantothenic acid and VB6.
3. Minerals
Except the calcium content in oats is 186mg, the calcium content in most cereals is still very low.
4. Dietary fiber
Oats are one of the few grains with both soluble and insoluble dietary fiber.
When we choose oatmeal in the market, we find that there are two kinds of oatmeal, one is 500g of oatmeal in bulk, which is about 3 yuan, and the other is 350g, which is about 6 yuan. Their difference lies in the different forms of dietary fiber. Bulk oatmeal is mainly insoluble dietary fiber, and the cooking time takes 15-20 minutes. The bagged oatmeal is mainly soluble dietary fiber, and the boiling time is about 3 minutes.
