1, planting time
The planting time of ginger needs to be adjusted according to the change of temperature. It can be planted in Hunan, Wuhan and other areas from April to May every year, and in the northwest and southwest valley areas in March. Ginger is suitable to grow in the environment of 25 ~ 30℃, and the sowing date can be selected according to the temperature change in this area.
2. Soil preparation and fertilization
Planting ginger should be carried out on medium fertility soil, and the soil should be turned over before winter to remove weeds and eggs in the soil. When the land was leveled in the following spring, 3000 kilograms of decomposed organic fertilizer and 30 kilograms of potassium sulfate were applied to each mu of land.
3. Choose seeds to accelerate germination
When planting ginger, we should choose a kind of ginger with healthy growth and no disease attack, and put it outdoors to dry one month before sowing to improve the temperature of seedlings. Then pick it up and cover it with a straw curtain. After several times of drying, it can be put into a greenhouse at 22 ~ 25℃ for germination.
4. Planting method
When planting, the planted ginger should be broken, and the size of each piece should be controlled at about 75 ~ 100g, and the buds should be kept on it. Water the soil before planting, and don't water it after emergence. After that, the planted ginger can be planted in the soil and covered with a layer of soil with a thickness of 4-5 cm. After emergence, it can be properly watered and moisturized, and weeding by intertillage 1-2 times.
